The editable leave log

Fix, cancel or delete any leave record with a reason.

The leave log is where an HR or company admin corrects the record. A typo in a date, a request filed against the wrong leave type, a duplicate that should never have existed: you fix, cancel or delete it here, and every change is written down with a reason.

Find the record

Open Leave Log under Admin. It lists every request in the company, in every status, newest first, 50 to a page. Filter by Employee, Leave type, Status or a date range to reach the one you want. The page needs the Manage leave requests permission, which is reserved for HR and company admins, not team leads.

Edit a record

Editing lets you change the leave type, the dates or the note. Ferio recounts the working days as you adjust the range, the same way the request form does, and reverses the old balance impact before applying the new one. If the new dates clash with another request you get a warning you can override. You must type a reason of at least ten characters before you can save.

Cancel or delete

Cancel marks the request cancelled and returns its days to the balance while keeping the row on file. Delete removes it entirely, for the cases where the request should never have been there at all; it also releases the days it was holding. Delete needs a written reason too. Either way the affected employee is notified of what changed.

Every change is logged

Edits, cancellations and deletions all land in the audit log with your name, the before-and-after values and the reason you gave. Nothing here happens silently. See The audit log.
